Located in one of Valencia’s most bustling tourist areas, stands the VINCCI MERCAT 4*, the latest hotel from VINCCI in the city on the banks of the River Turia. The building, newly constructed, adds to the two existing hotels the chain has in the city: VINCCI LYS 4* and VINCCI PALACE 4*. The VINCCI MERCAT 4* is in the Ciutat Vella district, renowned for its shops specialising in artisan products. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the recently refurbished Mercat Central and a few metres from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, giving it a fabulous location for those who want to get about the centre on foot, or enjoy one of the city’s main shopping areas.
Valencia’s Mercat Central is Europe’s largest traditional market dedicated to speciality fresh produce and the first in the world that has truly faced up to the challenge of computerising its sales and home delivery. VINCCI has taken inspiration from the market for its latest hotel, which has a unique, simple façade, combining smooth tones with ironwork details along with modern LED lights that, from first sight, establish it as a modern, stylish hotel. The front wall has an ironwork silhouette based on the dome of the market, creating a connection between the two buildings. The entire project has been designed with the idea of creating a welcoming, timeless space, with high quality materials, in which neutral tones and stonework predominate.
VINCCI MERCAT has adopted the modernist style of the market for every corner of the hotel, with representative images of it being found in the various public spaces and rooms. The hotel has a total of 68 double rooms, all exterior, four of which are superior, with a living room, for lovers of exclusivity. The rooms are fully equipped, with safe deposit box, en suite bathroom, satellite TV, air conditioning and heating, internet connection, pillow menu and minibar.
The charming roof terrace allows the guests to sun themselves, with views over the city, nearly all year round, thanks to the region’s fine climate. The terrace has a pool, so in summer you can have a dip or sunbathe, right in the heart of Valencia.
