The rooftops of the hotel chain on Gran Vía — The Mint Roof, Capitol Rooftop and Roof 66 — reopen this spring, each with a differentiated concept that combines gastronomy and cocktail culture with views of the Madrid skyline. A complete experience connected to the rhythm of the city.

The arrival of good weather is intensely felt in Madrid from its terraces, and Vincci Hoteles once again positions its rooftops as some of the season’s essential meeting points. In the year the chain celebrates its 25th anniversary, this proposal gains even more meaning as a reflection of its way of understanding hospitality: “the Vincci perspective”, a distinctive way of interpreting places, spaces and experiences. In the case of its Madrid rooftops, this approach turns them into spaces that, in addition to offering privileged views of the main landmarks thanks to the excellent location of all its hotels, also allow guests to experience the vibrant rhythm of the capital from historic buildings, through their architecture, gastronomy and details, all integrated into the surroundings.

Located in the heart of Gran Vía, The Mint Roof (Vincci The Mint 4*), Capitol Rooftop (Vincci Capitol 4*) and Roof 66 (Vincci Vía 66 4*) offer different ways to enjoy Madrid from above. Three rooftops with their own identity that respond to different ways of living the city, but share the same philosophy: turning every visit into an experience that goes beyond the views.

Capitol Rooftop (Vincci Capitol 4* - Gran Vía, 41)

Located in one of the most iconic Art Deco buildings on Gran Vía, Vincci Capitol 4* transports visitors into the world of cinema from the very first moment. Integrated into the historic Carrión Building, which also houses the Capitol Cinema and the iconic Schweppes sign above (an emblematic image of Madrid featured in films such as *El Día de la Bestia*), the hotel breathes the essence of one of the city’s most iconic cinemas, turning the visit into an experience tied to Madrid’s cultural history. It features themed rooms where legendary film figures such as Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Charles Chaplin coexist with other decorative elements. References to the seventh art appear throughout the property; the smell of popcorn fills the hotel from 4 p.m., and inside there is a 1936 film projector that has survived the passage of time, discovered during renovation works.

With one of the most recognizable panoramic views of Callao and Madrid de los Austrias, Capitol Rooftop is a place where the rhythm of the city is experienced from above, with a menu designed for sharing and lingering into the evening.

Designed for sharing and enjoying without rush, the menu includes reinterpreted classics such as Russian salad with fried egg and smoked oil, homemade Iberian ham croquettes, and “huevos rotos” with Iberian pork, as well as more complete dishes like senyoret-style rice with prawns and cuttlefish, aged beef burger with parmesan and truffle mayonnaise, grilled salmon with roasted vegetables, or picanha with chimichurri. The offer is completed with fresh salads, hand-cut Iberian acorn-fed ham, cheese boards, and desserts such as lemon pie, baked cheesecake, or chocolate cake with Bulgarian yogurt ice cream. The cocktail menu mixes classics with cinematic nods, while the food offer includes casual and light dishes suitable for any time of day.

Roof 66 (Vincci Vía 66 4* - Gran Vía, 66)

The Vincci Vía 66 4* hotel represents the most cultural and vibrant side of the city, designed for those who want to immerse themselves in contemporary Madrid — its theatre, music and museums. Its privileged location makes it an ideal starting point to discover the city, but also a place from which to pause and observe it.

Roof 66 offers a relaxed atmosphere where the focus is on the moment. Its aesthetic, based on natural materials and neutral tones, enhances a slower experience, ideal for enjoying the sunset. From this rooftop, you can see some of the most representative rooftop sculptures of nearby Gran Vía buildings, such as one of the famous Phoenix figures placed on several domes in the city. The one next to Vincci Hoteles is presided over by Ganymede, a figure from Greek mythology, watching over the Roof 66 terrace from above — one of the most charming spots in the capital.

The menu combines sharing dishes with more complete options: from “gildas”, Russian salad or cheese boards, to burgers, focaccias or tacos, offering something for different moments of the day. It also includes classics such as croquettes, patatas bravas or nachos with guacamole, and desserts like chocolate coulant or apple pie. The experience is completed with a carefully curated cocktail menu featuring classics such as Dry Martini, Negroni, Old Fashioned, Daiquiri or Margarita, alongside signature creations inspired by literary works turned into cocktails, such as “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” or “Swan Lake”, as well as non-alcoholic options.

The Mint Roof (Vincci The Mint 4* - Gran Vía, 10)

Fresh, laid-back and with a strong personality, Vincci The Mint 4* offers a different way to stay in Madrid. Designed by Jaime Beriestain, the hotel breaks away from traditional codes to connect with creative and contemporary travellers, offering dynamic and characterful spaces.

Its rooftop, The Mint Roof, is a natural extension of that concept. With views over the Gran Vía skyline, it becomes a meeting point where the social atmosphere is as important as the gastronomic offer.

The menu reflects the hotel’s creative and cosmopolitan character, combining internationally inspired recipes with contemporary cuisine. Highlights include red tuna with yellow chilli, passion fruit and flame-grilled avocado; vegetable gyozas with peanut and sweet chilli sauce; crispy prawns with Thai green sauce; and pork bao with hoisin, kimchi and avocado yoghurt. There are also more informal options such as gourmet burgers, customizable pizzas, chicken wings and the classic club sandwich, along with signature dishes like mini oxtail arepas or the New York roll with salmon, cream cheese and avocado. The experience is completed with a cocktail menu that accompanies guests from aperitif to late evening.

Beyond the gastronomic offer, Vincci’s rooftops share a common idea: to offer spaces that connect with the city and its people from a different perspective. An approach that reflects the company’s natural evolution over the years, where every decision — from design to the use of spaces — aims to enhance the guest experience and their relationship with the destination.

Three locations, three atmospheres, and one shared intention: to enjoy Madrid from above, with a more conscious, experiential and contemporary way of living the city.

About Vincci Hoteles | 25th anniversary
