Vincci Hotels reduces food waste in 27 of its establishments in partnership with Too Good To Go

On the occasion of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (September 29), Vincci Hoteles announces its collaboration with Too Good To Go, the app that connects consumers with establishments to fight food waste. The main goal of this partnership is to promote responsible consumption and foster sustainable breakfasts, reinforcing Vincci Hoteles’ commitment to more responsible hospitality and positive social impact.

Vincci Hoteles takes another step forward in its Waste Management and Minimization Plan by signing a collaboration agreement with Too Good To Go, the app that connects consumers with establishments to encourage responsible consumption and prevent food waste. The hotel chain presents this alliance in the framework of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, which will be celebrated on September 29.



The company has been taking part in this sustainable initiative through its breakfast service since April 2024, when a pilot project was launched in two of its hotels. Given the positive results achieved during this period, the company has extended the collaboration to practically all its hotels in Spain, offering special breakfast packs to ensure a responsible use of food that has not been consumed during service.

Breakfasts that don’t end up in the bin, but in good hands


The system is simple and effective. Every day, the kitchen team of Vincci Hoteles’ different establishments selects, under strict food safety and hygiene criteria, products that have not been served during the breakfast buffet and that maintain their full quality. These are then used to prepare specific packs at a special price, made available through the Too Good To Go app, on Android and Apple, with the aim of preventing waste.



The contents of each pack vary depending on daily product availability, but always seek to provide a balanced and complete offer, with examples such as: a piece of fresh fruit, a yogurt, artisanal pastries, or small sandwiches filled with cold cuts, cheese, or Spanish omelette.

This collaboration has been well received by both staff and app users, who have rated the Vincci Hoteles breakfast experience very positively. Although establishment-specific data is still being consolidated, the ratings collected so far reflect the success of this initiative, which combines real sustainability, operational efficiency, and mutual benefit for all parties involved.
