Vincci Hotels will open its first hotel in Asturias: a four-star establishment in the heart of Gijón

The hotel chain will open its first establishment in Asturias with a comprehensive conversion project located in the heart of Gijón. The new establishment will feature 124 rooms distributed over 15 floors, a restaurant, rooftop and event spaces, in a privileged location next to Paseo de Begoña and the Teatro Jovellanos.

Vincci Hoteles will have a new hotel in the centre of Gijón, a project through which the chain arrives in Asturias for the first time, expanding its presence in northern Spain and adding a new destination to its consolidated portfolio in both urban and holiday locations, in Spain and internationally. The new property will be located at Alfredo Truán Street, nº2, in the building that formerly housed the historic Hotel Robledo, an emblematic property of the city with a long history in the sector, as part of its commitment to restoring historic buildings that have fallen into disuse, giving them new life and reintegrating them into the city. Its excellent location —next to Paseo de Begoña and just a few metres from Teatro Jovellanos— places it in one of the most vibrant and best-connected areas of the city, with easy access to key services, shops, beaches and cultural areas.

The building will house a four-star hotel with 124 rooms distributed over 15 floors, organised into three categories and with surfaces up to 32 m², the result of an ambitious full renovation project supported by an investment close to 20 million euros, promoted independently from hotel management and operations, and aimed at enhancing the value of this unique asset. The new establishment of the hotel chain in Gijón will also feature a restaurant, rooftop, gym and various event spaces. It will also offer all the services and comforts characteristic of Vincci Hoteles.



The renovation will be led by the Gijón-based studio Hernández-Sande Arquitectos and will include the talent of interior designer Alejandra Pombo, whose creative vision will transform the space into a place with its own character. Her project is inspired by the essence of Gijón, reinterpreting local identity with the unmistakable style of Vincci Hoteles: design with soul, attention to detail and an authentic connection to the destination. The renovation work is expected to take place over approximately two years, with an opening date scheduled for 2027.
