The hotel chain receives this recognition in the Hospitality category for its social commitment and its commitment to a conscious, human and transformative tourism model.

Vincci Hoteles was awarded this Wednesday, 21 January, with the 9th Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award, in the Hospitality category, for its Social Action and Volunteering Programme, a project that clearly reflects the hotel chain’s commitment to people, the environment and the generation of a positive impact on local communities.

The award, granted within the framework of the International Tourism Trade Fair and promoted by Fundación Intermundial, in collaboration with FITUR and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), recognises organisations that stand out for their work in social responsibility, sustainability and efficiency in the use of resources. The award ceremony took place in the FITURTECH space at IFEMA, with the presence of institutional representatives and industry professionals.

The award-winning entry from Vincci Hoteles was especially valued for its human approach, its direct impact on local communities and its inclusive structure, which involves the entire team of the chain.

“This recognition has special value because it highlights the constant and silent work carried out by our teams together with social organisations in each of the destinations,” said César Pérez, Director of Quality and Sustainability at Vincci Hoteles, when accepting the award. “We understand sustainability as a commitment that goes beyond environmental impact and that involves being present in destinations not only as a hotel company, but as an active part of their social fabric.”

The Vincci Hoteles Social Action and Volunteering Programme is structured as an annual plan of solidarity initiatives designed together with social and environmental organisations, integrated into its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, with the aim of generating a positive, lasting and measurable social impact in the destinations where it operates. The programme is based on the idea that responsible tourism must actively contribute to the well-being of communities. For this reason, Vincci Hoteles acts as a bridge between tourism activity and the social environment, fostering the direct involvement of its employees in relevant social, environmental and economic causes, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Volunteering activities are carried out in collaboration with specialised foundations and associations, adapting to different profiles, interests and geographical locations, which facilitates inclusive and cross-cutting participation. Some of the most representative actions in 2025 have included: intergenerational activities alongside Fundación Amigos de los Mayores, or social inclusion workshops carried out in collaboration with Fundación Prodis, in which Vincci Hoteles employees and young people with intellectual disabilities worked together in a workshop aimed at promoting teamwork and mutual learning. Vincci Hoteles regularly collaborates with various foundations such as: Fundación Ronald McDonald, Fundación Altius, Fundación ABRACADABRA, Asociación ASPAU, Fundación COMTAL, Aldeas infantiles SOS or Fundación Adopta un Abuelo.

This award recognises Vincci Hoteles’ commitment to a responsible tourism model, integrated into its corporate strategy and its day-to-day operations.
