The Entremuros restaurant once again pays tribute to traditional Malaga cuisine

The restaurant at the hotel Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5* has opened the call for entries for the second edition of its culinary event, which once again aims to preserve the recipes of a lifetime. For several days, the Entremuros restaurant will become the stage for this unique gastronomic experience, where cooking enthusiasts over the age of 60 will bring to life the culinary legacy of the city through their flavors and memories.

Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5*, in collaboration with the City Council of Málaga, presents a new edition of the gastronomic initiative “Flavours of Memory”, designed to preserve and promote the city’s culinary heritage through its senior citizens. The event, which will take place in October at the hotel, invites amateur cooks over the age of 60 to share recipes that have marked their personal and family history.

This edition, which aims to surpass last year’s participation, introduces new features to give greater visibility to the people behind each recipe.

The registration period will remain open until October 10. Interested participants may apply by sending an email to eventos.posada@vinccihoteles.com or by visiting the hotel’s reception in person.

Entries will be evaluated not only for the culinary technique, but also for their emotional, family, or symbolic value. Priority will be given to applications in order of arrival and the suitability of the proposed recipes.

On October 14, the hotel’s kitchens will open their doors to host the live cooking sessions by the selected participants, who will receive support from the restaurant’s culinary team. Each recipe will be accompanied by a personal story reflecting the connection between culinary tradition and emotional memory.

A jury composed of gastronomy experts, City Council representatives, and members of Vincci Hoteles will evaluate the dishes based on flavor, authenticity, and their ability to represent the culinary essence of Málaga.

The official award ceremony will take place at the hotel on October 20.

During the event, prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- The recipe that best represents the culinary “Flavours of Memory” of Málaga.
- The richest and most flavorful dish.
- The sweetest creation.
- The most collaborative, cheerful, and endearing participant throughout the activity.
- A special mention, the “Entremuros – Roots of Málaga Award,” for a recipe recognized for its authenticity and local character.



The day will include a cocktail reception for participants and guests and will also serve as the official presentation of the renewed Entremuros space, now established as a reference in the revival of local cuisine.

To conclude this edition, starting November 1, the restaurant will introduce a special tasting menu: the “Flavours of Memory Menu”, featuring the winning recipes of this year’s event in two versions — the original and the reinterpretation by the hotel’s chefs — available throughout the winter season. A celebration of heritage and timeless flavor, seen through a contemporary lens.
