Sustainable commitment: the surprising second life of capsules at Vincci Hoteles


We believe that every little gesture matters, and one of the most inspiring is our recycling project with Nespresso coffee capsules. Under the initiative “Circular Rice”, we collect used capsules in our hotels and give them a second life that goes far beyond the recycling bin.

Capsules are treated to separate the aluminum from the coffee grounds. The aluminum is recycled, and the grounds are turned into compost that nourishes the rice fields of the Ebro Delta. From there, rice is harvested and returns to our hotels to be transformed into delicious dishes. A true example of circular economy that closes the loop at our guests’ tables.

The impact is twofold: environmental and social. We reduce waste, support local production, and promote a sustainable model that connects what you enjoy in your cup with what you later savor in the restaurant.
