Bullfighter Pablo Aguado, winner of the 10th ‘Al Detalle para el Recuerdo’ Award

The jury of the 10th “Al Detalle para el Recuerdo” Bullfighting Award of the Vincci Albayzín 4* hotel has unanimously granted the prize to bullfighter Pablo Aguado for “the display of artistry and naturalness in his two performances on Friday of the fair against bulls from Hermanos García Jiménez” during the 2025 Corpus Fair. A special mention was also made to David Fandila, “El Fandi.”

The 10th “Al Detalle para el Recuerdo” Bullfighting Award of Vincci Albayzín 4* has been awarded this year to Pablo Aguado, who receives this recognition established by the Vincci Hoteles chain to honor the most outstanding moments of the Corpus Fair of Granada. The jury of the award, gathered at Vincci Albayzín 4* and composed of Mª Dolores Martínez Baca as president, Francisco Puente Medel as secretary, José Álvarez Baena, Manuel Ferrón Codina, Julio Gonzálvez Cañizares, Antonio Huete Herrera, Ma Dolores Martínez Baca, Francisco Martínez Perea, Francisco Matas-Linares Machaco, José Rogelio Muñoz Oya, Purificación Rodríguez Márquez, Antonio Fco. Serrano Palomar, Julián Tomás García Sánchez, and Rafael Calero, unanimously decided that the performance by the Sevillian bullfighter was deserving of the award due to “the display of artistry and naturalness in his two performances on Friday of the fair against bulls from Hermanos García Jiménez.” The jury also gave a special mention to the 25th anniversary of David Fandila 'El Fandi’s' alternative, in a fair where he played a prominent role.

The “Al Detalle para el Recuerdo” Bullfighting Award of Vincci Albayzín supports and seeks to recognize each year the work of participants in the fair. Among previous awardees are Juan Ortega, José Tomás, and José Antonio ‘Morante de la Puebla’, among others. The awards were created because “one of our great passions has always been the world of bullfighting,” explains Rafael Calero. “We are also very proud that many of these bullfighters choose to stay with us, given our admiration and deep respect for this profession.”
