Vincci Soho 4* has teamed up with Triciclo for a gastronomic San Isidro experience

The outdoor terrace at our hotel in the Neighbourhood of Letters, the Vincci Soho 4* Madrid, will be offering, on 13 and 14 May, an exclusive tasting menu in honour of San Isidro, created by the famous team of chefs at Triciclo. The dishes, inspired by pure Castilian style, celebrate one of Madrid’s biggest festivals, and are based on the traditional flavours of the city, including, of course, fried squid baguette sandwiches and cocido stew, all reinterpreted by chefs Javier Goya, Javier Mayor and David Alfonso.

On 15 May Madrid will be in festive mood to celebrate the day of its patron saint (San Isidro or Saint Isidore) and Vincci Soho 4* (Calle del Prado 18) has the perfect plan to enjoy the festivities with the finest flavours. On 13 and 14 May you can enjoy, on the hotel’s outdoor terrace, a tasting menu created exclusively by Triciclo especially for San Isidro. The chefs, Javier Goya, Javier Mayor and David Alfonso, have been inspired by the Madrid region’s most traditional flavours to create a culinary journey that also heralds the start of a collaboration between Vincci Soho 4* and Triciclo, one that’s dedicated to the most demanding of palates. Triciclo, a special (no doubt about it) restaurant

Javier Goya, Javier Mayor and David Alfonso, after years of friendship both inside and outside of kitchens, were working together in El Faro, one of the restaurants for executives at Banco Santander’s Ciudad Financiera (Finance City), in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid). “It was the experience that helped show us the way after a number of years working in various leading restaurants”. Three years later, they decided to get together and launch their own project. The three chefs became partners and entrepreneurs and founded “the restaurant where we’d like to go to eat”.

For the project each one contributed, both in culinary knowledge and culinary preferences: bringing an extensive range of dishes, stews, sauces and flavours. Recipes from granny’s kitchen and tiny bars in the north of Spain. Above all they wanted cooking, real cooking, with saucepans moving on the hob and meat dishes that would need nearly a whole day in the oven and the freshest produce, arriving daily, so they could create a menu that wasn’t just seasonal, as of course it would be, but would have various suggestions that would change daily.
