Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar 5* gifts a New Year’s dinner to families in need

Our hotel in Marbella has prepared a special New Year’s dinner for a number of disadvantaged families who live in the town, in collaboration with Marbella Town Council. The initiative is our way of doing our bit to help everybody celebrate New Year 2018 in the best way possible.

Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar 5* (Marbella, Málaga) delivered, this Thursday, five specially prepared dinners to the Marbella Town Council, to be distributed by the council’s social services department to families in need, who live in the town. The initiative is part of Vincci Hoteles’ commitment to the local communities where each of our properties are located.

Each package contains a New Year’s dinner for four people, made up of a starter of Lobster Raviolis with Seafood sauce, a main of Duck Confit with Cumberland sauce and a dessert of Yule Log with Red Berries. It’s the same as one of the menus we’ll be preparing for our clients on the last night of 2017. Each one has been vacuum packed to keep it perfectly fresh and includes instructions explaining how to easily prepare it. As is the norm at Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar 5* and our other establishments, each dish has been prepared with high-quality, fresh ingredients, with some of the ingredients locally sourced, for example the Málaga boletus mushrooms and the oil.

The delivery ceremony at Marbella Town Hall was attended by the councillor for social services, Isabel Cintado, the director of Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar 5*, Jorge de Castellví, the assistant director of the hotel, Manuel Molinero, and the hotel’s chef, José Scapachini. Jorge de Castellví highlighted that the hotel’s annual agenda “always features altruistic initiatives, and we thought it was important that some of the most underprivileged families should also be able to enjoy a good dinner on New Year’s Eve”. “This is the first year we’ve carried out this specific initiative, although we plan to carry out more of this type of action over the year and in the next festive season”. Isabel Cintado meanwhile, wanted to say thank you for “the social sensibility and solidarity which Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar has once again shown, at such an important time of the year as Christmas” and added that, “this mutual collaboration is going to continue, in the form of a project with the Active Participation Centres, which we are already working on”.

Vincci Hoteles once again shows its social and environmental commitment

At Vincci Hoteles we’ve always been dedicated to a series of commitments to the local communities and the environment in the places where our properties are located, both hotels and central offices. This commitment is currently set out in our Master Plan for Corporate Social Responsibility 2016-2018. This sets out our various programmes and activities aimed at meeting the needs of the communities where we carry on our business. At Vincci Hoteles we establish annual objectives and goals, and we habitually work with multiple initiatives, having agreements with diverse organisations such as Aldeas Infantiles, Fundación SEUR, Ecoembes, Madre Coraje and FEMAREC. These collaborations are aimed at carrying out social and humanitarian actions which allow us to improve society to the greatest extent possible. Our activity in this field was recognised in 2016 by the Minister of Industry, with the presentation of the Medal for Merit in Tourism to the president of Vincci Hoteles, Rufino Calero Cuevas, in the Sustainability and Quality category.
