Another year more our Soma restaurant (Madrid) wants to contribute to eradicating childhood malnutrition by joining the Restaurants against Hunger campaign organized by Acción contra el Hambre and Federación Española de Hostelería.
The initiative, which is already holding its IV edition, will take place between the 15th of September and the 15th of November and will count on the participation of more than 500 restaurants throughout all of Spain, among them, the Soma restaurant.
Come and eat or have dinner in any of them and ask for the solidarity menu or dish of each restaurant, and you’ll be doing your bit towards fighting against hunger, as a part of the price of the meal is already destined towards prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute childhood malnutrition in the world’s poorest countries.
For the occasion, the Soma has put together a special solidarity menu which consists of a first and second course, dessert or coffee, as well as wine. It’s price will be 19,90 euros (VAT included), of which the restaurant will donate 1,50 euros to Acción contra el Hambre.
You won’t find the same menu every day, as we’d like to get you excited to come back, surprising you with different selections throughout the duration of the campaign. So you get an idea, this is one of the menus you’ll be able to try, but there will be many more:
Salmon rolls, mixed greens and honey vinaigrette
Lamb chops and mashed potatoes with coriander mojo
Fruit salad and mango ice cream or Nespresso coffee
Wine
As you can see, participating is as easy as going out to eat or have dinner, something we regularly do and that on this occasion serves to help collect money to fight against childhood malnutrition, a good cause that we’re counting on all of you to support.
Specifically, for every 40 euros they receive, Acción contra el Hambre will provide a treatment to save the life of a child who is a victim of malnutrition.
In 2011 they managed to collect 100,000 euros and the past year they received upwards of 110,000. Help us so that in 2013 this amount is even higher.
