Vincci Puertochico Santander celebrates its 16th anniversary with a new design inspired by the magnificent landscape which surrounds it. Located right by the Cantabrian Sea, with unbeatable views over the ‘Puerto Chico’ marina and the city’s bay – a member of the ‘Club of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World’ – its new interior design, by Triggo Decoración, creates a unique, tranquil, relaxed atmosphere using natural materials and warm colours, without forgetting references to the local maritime culture with various distinctive elements.
Vincci Puertochico 4* now boasts a new design with upgraded facilities as part of the Vincci Hotel chain’s commitment to offering its guests the very highest quality, both in service and infrastructure, with its properties being constantly updated in line with the latest trends, needs and ways of travelling. Located in one of the most privileged spots in Santander, at Calle Castelar 25, in front of the ‘Puerto Chico’ marina, this Vincci Hoteles property celebrates its 16th anniversary with a new interior design and renovated public rooms inspired by its magnificent setting. The renovation of the hotel has been carried out with an investment of nearly 300,000 euros.
Natural materials, welcoming atmosphere
The new design, by Carmen Montoro of Triggo Decoración, makes full use of the hotel’s incredible location, just yards from the Cantabrian Sea, bringing the unique, tranquil, relaxed atmosphere into the interior of the hotel. With this aim in mind, she’s used warm colours and relaxing blue tones, as well as weathered, recycled wood, as if it had been recovered from the sea itself.
All of which helps to ensure that upon walking through the door there is a welcoming, cosy atmosphere in the various public rooms on the ground floor: reception, bar lounge, restaurant and the relaxation area. These spaces form a chromatic unit, thanks to the natural materials such as wood and fibres, which contrast with other elements such as mirrors to make this a very special spot.
Throughout the hotel, the décor follows a common theme evoking this land of contrasts, where nature and the sea take centre stage. For example, the hallways boast large windows, complete with hanging plants and curtains, which bring to mind fishing nets, in reference to what lies outside.
Rooms with views over Santander Bay
It’s 52 rooms are perfect to enjoy a comfortable stay, with all the attractions the hotel chain is known for. Every room offers a view over Santander Bay, a member of the ‘Club of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World’, and has a host of services, such Wi-Fi, pillow menu, daily newspaper and a welcome pack. The furniture has been designed and created exclusively for each room, from the headboards and the writing desks to the luggage rack, crafted by an artisan cord maker. The fabrics have been carefully selected, with fresh linens in marine tones, inspired by the waters of the Sardinero beach. For those who want a more select experience, the Junior Suite has a petite living room and VIP service, in addition to the facilities of the other rooms.
