La Alhambra, a palace complex full of magic and history
The Alhambra is the jewel of Granada. A palace from the time of Al-Andalus that holds a thousand stories. It’s one of Spain’s 12 treasures, and though not official, many consider it the eighth wonder of the world for its extraordinary beauty and its perfect adaptation to its surroundings.
Together with the Generalife, it was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1984 and five years later this status was also given to the adjacent Albayzín district of Granada.
The red fortress was the home to the ruler and the court of the Nasrid dynasty of Granada. According to legend the complex can be seen as a enormous sun dial, a phenomenon that is clear at midday, when the buildings are divided in two, in shadow and in sun.
Hotel in Granada
The hotel in Granada takes the name of its oldest neighbourhood: Vincci Albayzín 4*. It’s also located in the centre, in a building that follows the traditional Andalusian style. Proof of which is the inside patio that gives light to the rest of the public areas of the hotel.

The decor of its rooms will take you back to the age of Al-Andalus: latticework on the cupboards and Moorish arches. It’s a comfortable hotel, and has a gym, sauna, parking and a babysitting service if you’re travelling with children.
