On 7 February we introduced the city of Bilbao to our new hotel located at 22 Calle Alameda Mazarredo, in the modern Paseo de Abandoibarra district. The launch was attended by the Mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, the general manager of Vincci Hoteles, Carlos Calero, and the two architects behind the project, along with a number of VIPs.
A privileged location with spectacular views
During the event the invitees were able to explore the main public rooms of the property to discover the hotel first hand and enjoyed relaxed drinks and snacks. The general manager of Vincci Hoteles, Carlos Calero, talked of the company’s excitement at opening its first hotel in the wonderful destination of Bilbao, and doing so with a property whose location means it offers incredible views over one of the city’s icons: the Guggenheim Museum. “The Paseo de Abandoibarra is a modern, contemporary district that represents the city’s innovative spirit; for us it’s the perfect site for Vincci Consulado de Bilbao 4*, which we believe fits in perfectly as an avant-garde project in line with the area”, said Calero. The executive pointed out that the new property has its own personality, “just like every one of our hotels”. “Our goal is for the traveller to start to get to know the city from inside the hotel: its gastronomy, its culture and its traditions, integrating all the services we offer into the rhythm of life in the city of Bilbao, as well as making it a reference point for the residents of the city, who can enjoy everything the hotel offers in terms of gastronomy and relaxation.”
The new hotel is, without doubt, one of the best ways to experience Bilbao, based in a property close to the historic centre and located in one of the city’s most important areas, with all the comfort and convenience of the Vincci experience.
