Experience Spain’s Easter traditions with Vincci Hoteles

Culture and tradition define Easter in Spain: in many cities its celebration has been declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest. That’s the case in Valladolid, Seville, Malaga and Granada, where we suggest you discover the history and customs while staying at contemporary hotels full of comfort, incredible gastronomy and unique experiences.

Valladolid: Vincci Frontaura 4*

The first Spanish city, in 1980, to receive the title of Festival of International Tourist Interest, and one of the places in Spain where Easter traditions are most deeply respected, Valladolid is full of history and landmarks. On one of the main streets (Paseo de Zorrilla 332) you’ll find Vincci Frontaura 4*, a four-star hotel that combines luxury and practicality.

It’s the perfect Easter base to visit the city’s enormous historical legacy, including the Iglesia de San Ildefonso, the Museo Casa de Cervantes and the Real Academia Provincial de Bellas Artes.

Moreover, the hotel boasts standout facilities, with an outdoor pool, its own Spa (Nammu Area Spa) and the Tastevín restaurant, where you can savour innovative, exquisite cuisine.

Seville: Vincci La Rábida 4*

In Seville, Easter means emotion and passion. Don’t miss a single detail of the processions and stay at the Vincci La Rábida 4* (Calle Castelar 24), with many passing right by the door of the hotel.

Designed around an 18th century mansion, located right in the city centre, in the Barrio del Arenal, the hotel is just a stone’s throw from the Cathedral and “La Maestranza” Plaza de Toros. Come and enjoy a moment of pure tranquillity in its bright, welcoming Andalusian indoor patio. It’s an unbeatable place to relax!

The hotel’s gastronomy is another of its attractions: a varied menu inspired by the flavours of the land itself. Deboned oxtail; bluefin tuna with a honey and soya sauce; or Iberian tenderloin steak with crisped Iberian ham are just some of our suggestions. And during the months of fine weather we open the terrace of our “El Mirador” restaurant, where you can also enjoy unbeatable views of La Giralda.

Malaga: Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5*

Uniquely attractive, Easter tradition in Malaga goes back to the 15th century Catholic Monarchs, Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II. Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5* (Pasillo de Santa Isabel 7) let’s you live the experience in the heart of the city’s historic centre, watching the processions close up, with many going right by the hotel’s door.

The Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5* is constructed on the site of two ancient buildings, one of which was one of the last posadas (old style inns) that existed in Malaga, while the other was a 20th century residential building, of which the facade has been preserved. Under these, remains of Malaga’s Arab Wall have been found and these can be visited inside the hotel.

The à la carte restaurant “Le Diner” gives you the opportunity to enjoy Malaga’s finest cuisine, with an added touch of sophistication, while “The Wall” bar offers a wide range of coffees, teas and other drinks.

The hotel also has a library, a rooftop terrace with a pool and monthly exhibitions dedicated to painting, photography and sculpture from Malaga artists. Its patio has a space dedicated to the Museo Carmen Thyssen in Malaga (with which the hotel collaborates), while Le Diner creates unique dishes inspired by the temporary exhibitions.

Granada: Vincci Albayzín 4*

Brotherhoods of Silence, wearing their robes and representing their neighbourhoods, Easter is the perfect expression of Andalusian sentiment. The hotel Vincci Albayzín 4* is located right on Carrera de la Virgen, at number 48, and is the perfect location to discover the city’s streets and experience these sacred days without missing a single detail.

Completely renovated at the end of 2012, Vincci Albayzín 4* is located in a typical Andalusian building, with one of the highlights being the impressive indoor patio, which serves as a source of light for the various public rooms. The patio, decorated with gorgeous Andalusian tiles, has grand marble columns, lamps and its own fountain evoking ancient Arabic palaces, with Alhambra-inspired details.
