At Vincci La Rábida 4* we’ve got everything ready to enjoy Semana Santa. From next Friday, 23 March, Vincci La Rábida 4* will be filled with art, with an exhibition in which several members of the main Confraternities will showcase, using various techniques such as watercolours or charcoal, their interpretation of these days of recollection and passion. What’s more, we’ll open the doors of our Cofrade bar, to experience the authentic Semana Santa in Seville.
Designed around an 18th century mansion house, and located in the centre of the city, in the Barrio del Arenal, just a stone’s throw from Seville cathedral and the Plaza de Toros, “La Maestranza”, from Vincci La Rábida 4* itself several of the main processions can be seen. The others will be on view in the Cofrade bar, which will open its doors for another year just for the occasion, from Friday of Sorrows (23 March), located in the hotel’s Sala Castelar. The venue, featuring décor inspired by Holy Week, with attention paid to every last detail, includes a mannequin dressed in the Nazarene style and offers a hint of the scent of incense in the air. It will be showing local television, covering everything that happens in the city live over the festival. The menu has been designed to appeal to all tastes, without missing traditional local dishes such as Pringá de la Abuela, and those that are typical of Easter, such as Spinach with Chickpeas, Potaje de Vigilia stew, without forgetting sweet fried bread Torrijas and fried dough Pestiños.
From 23 March to Sunday 1 April, Vincci La Rábida 4* will host an exhibition showcasing works of art from seven members of the main Confraternities of the city (Ángel Alén, Alejando Parra, Jose Carlos Gonzalez, Jaime Babio, Jaime Rodriguez Fernández, Nuria Barrera and Fran Silva), with works exploring Semana Santa in Seville.
