Eight Blue Flags fly proudly over Marbella’s beaches

Marbella has become a benchmark for Andalusia, with eight of its beaches being awarded Blue Flags for their quality and the services they offer, by the Association of Environmental Education and Consumer Affairs.

This is the third year in a row that Marbella is the Andalusian municipality with the most Blue Flags. This time around the beaches who have received the awards are: Artola (Cabopino), Venus-Bajadilla, Guadalmina-San Pedro, Puerto Banús, El Cable-Pinillo, Río Verde and Faro.

Alongside the Blue Flag, the Spanish ‘Q’ for Tourist Quality flag evaluates aspects such as the accessibility of the beaches, security, cleanliness, lifeguard station and the showers, among other things related to the services provided to tourists.
