6 restaurants for dinner this summer

Here are our six Vincci restaurant recommendations for the summer nights, whether you’re staying with us or not. Table for two? Come right this way.

When we think of the word ‘summer’, two things immediately come to mind: beaches and swimming pools. However, alas, most of us mortals only have a few days of holidays to enjoy.

But don’t panic. Because there are hundreds of alternative things to do when night falls, to enjoy our beloved summer to the max. For example, a gastronomic experience. Because we just love heading out for dinner when the sun has gone down and the heat has faded from the day!

Today we have recommendations for you: six gastronomic spots for every taste, from beach bars to roof tops, including open air terraces looking over a perfect sea, and completely renovated restaurants (for guests staying at the hotel or not). Because summer isn’t a time to cook, but for someone to cook for you!

In our hotel in Marbella, the Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar 5*, the restaurant Baraka is true to the legacy of Andalusí cooking, offering a fusion of Spanish and Arabic roots.

Aubergines, spinach, sugar cane, citric fruits and rice, all introduced to Spain by the Arabs, are the base of the gastronomic offerings at Baraka, using local techniques such as pickling and marinating.

Just a few yards from the hotel, at the Beach Club Estrella del Mar we like nothing better than getting together with a glass in hand, sitting around a table to share the sun, happy gazes, laughs and a whole universe of sensations. It’s time to raise a glass and enjoy a festival of delicacies, adorned by the sound of the waves.

When evening falls, we’ve got our most appetising concept for the summer nights: Las Brasas del Beach barbecue.

A fusion restaurant in Sancti Petri: UMAMI

In Chiclana de la Frontera, in Novo Sancti Petri, is UMAMI, an open-air restaurant that, if you’re a fan of fresh market food with a hint of fusion, you’re not going to be able to resist.

In Madrid, from one terrace to another

¿Hippie or ‘culture vulture? In the sky or on the ground? In Madrid we offer you two options for al fresco dining that you won’t forget in a hurry.

Dear ‘roof lovers’, if you think there’s nothing new under the sun (or the night sky), you have to head up to see the roof-top terrace that’s been dominating the magazine pages this summer: The Mint Roof, the terrace at Vincci The Mint 4* Madrid.

The food truck that’s taking centre stage in the sky above Gran Vía in Madrid proposes sharing a selection of the best street food from various countries, from Mexican Nachos, to Vietnamese spring rolls and American hamburgers. All accompanied, of course, with a beer, a glass of wine or a refreshing cocktail in the face of the soaring temperatures.

But that’s not all. We still have to introduce the ‘hipster’ of the Vincci Hoteles family. The restaurant Gecko at the Vincci Soho 4*, located in the heart of the Barrio de las Letras (Neighbourhood of Letters), in Madrid’s  renowned Art Triangle.
