A new terrace on Gran Vía

Madrid’s Gran Vía has a new terrace, a place where you can enjoy the fine weather from the heights: THE MINT Roof, located on the roof terrace of the new Vincci THE MINT 4* (Gran Vía 10). It takes its cue from the innovative style found in the rest of the hotel, designed by Jaime Beriestain and inspired by the concept ‘Fresh&Music’, where the freshness of mint fills every corner. The terrace is designed to create the perfect atmosphere, a place where you can feel at home as you relax among friends while enjoying views over the Spanish capital’s main thoroughfare.

The décor is notable for its use of wood, both natural and treated; textiles that fill the space with colour; an array of plants, with mint, of course, included; and one of the main attractions of THE MINT Roof, its food truck, brought straight from France to this newest fun spot in Madrid. Here you’ll find the most refreshing drinks, and laid-back food, to help beat Madrid’s heat.

A terrace that’s full of activities

During the months of fine weather, THE MINT Roof will be bustling with activities throughout the week. From Thursday to Saturday, the place to be in Madrid is THE MINT Roof ‘Tardeo’ (a Spanish term for afternoon and evening nightlife): evenings with a different feel, perfectly accompanied by THE MINT Cocktail and the “tapa del día” (the snack of the day), with all the rest of the cocktail list and food menu to explore. The tardeos at THE MINT Roof invite you to experience la hora fresca” (“the fresh hour”), a ritual that occurs just when the sun slips from view: a bell is rung to announce the end of the afternoon and everyone gets to enjoy a shot of mint, while the best music plays in the background.

From Monday to Wednesday, fans of street food will be right at home on THE MINT Roof. Every day the food truck will be offering dishes from either different categories (burgers, Asian, etc) or restaurants specialising in this type of food. All in a chill-out atmosphere with ambient music meaning you don’t miss a word in your conversations with your companions.

The hotel

THE MINT Roof is located on the roof-top terrace of Vincci THE MINT 4*, a hotel whose originality delights and surprises and is clear from the moment you enter the hotel, with ever-present mint shades of green and turquoise. The traditional reception has no place at Vincci THE MINT 4*, where the experience starts with check-in at the bar, in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, where you can do everything you need to do in relation to your stay quickly, while you enjoy a soft drink or a cocktail in the fascinating bar.

Every corner of the hotel is designed to create a luminous, open environment, allowing the guests to enjoy, from inside the building, all the delights of Madrid’s Gran Vía. The Gastro bar surprises, with direct entrance from the street: a lively space where music blends with the pleasure of relaxing with a delicious cocktail or trying the most exquisite treats created by the chefs of Vincci THE MINT 4*.

The hotel has 88 rooms, all of which are bright and spacious, with all the conveniences that characterise Vincci Hoteles. In line with Vincci Hoteles’ environmental commitments and Corporate Social Responsibility policy, the hotel is equipped with the latest energy saving technology, as well as measures to lower water and electricity use.

The new hotel is another project from the chain that follows its clear commitment to restoring historic buildings. The property was built between 1916 and 1919 and has a façade of great artistic value, with the tradition of the exterior contrasting perfectly with the originality of the new interior design. As the owner of the real estate, the GENERALI Group carried out the renovation, investing approximately five million euros. This is the third hotel the chain has launched on the central thoroughfare in the Spanish capital, alongside the existing, Vincci Capitol 4* (Gran Vía 41) and Vincci Vía 66 4* (Gran Vía 66).
