One of the most fun activities when you visit Madrid is to go shopping. If you are either looking for a souvenir, a corporate present or just indulge yourself with the latest fashion trends showcased in the shop windows, it is mandatory to visit the Capital of Spain’s main shopping areas. Today, we will complete a virtual walkthrough by Madrid’s ‘Milla de Oro’ (The Golden Mile), the city’s most glamorous and exclusive shopping area. Located at the heart of the emblematic Barrio de Salamanca, the most prestigious fashion, apparel and jewellery firms are reunited within a single square mile.

We start our route at Ortega y Gasset Street, where we can find prestigious fashion firms as Versace and Hermès. The famous Tiffany jewellery is also present, where we can feel like Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ while we appreciate the work of the most talented jewellery designers.

At number 14 of the same Street, Dolce&Gabanna offers its best designs in a spacious and sophisticated showroom. And only a few paces away, Chanel showcases Karl Lagerfeld’s latest creations. At number 17, we can find the prestigious travel accessories brand, Louis Vuitton .

As we enter Serrano Street, we keep finding the most glamorous international fashion firms, as Gucci, Loewe and Prada, with all the latest proposals taken directly from the international catwalks.

And if we are really into shoes, we definitely have to visit Manolo Blahnik’s store. There we can find real masterpieces. No wonder the ‘Sex And The City’ girls were crazy about those shoes!

These are just a few examples of the fashion offering we can find in the two main streets of Madrid’s ‘Milla de Oro’, but if we take a little stroll around, we will find multiple other shops with exquisite and elegant proposals.

And if you are looking for a hotel near this exclusive shopping area, our recommendation is the Vincci Soma 4* Hotel in Madrid. Located in Goya Street, you will be only a few paces away of the main fashion area in Madrid.
