Salamanca is a lively city in all its aspects; with culture, academic, business and social life finding common ground in the city. This March, the International Postgraduate Studies Fair has taken place in Salamanca, and a series of conferences about Internet Innovation and Security is being held there these days. On May, the X Noir Novel and Film Congress will also be celebrated in the city. Salamanca is a key element to be considered for business tourism, thanks to its excellent infrastructures, the wide and high quality hotel offering, its charming character and its modernism. Above it all, we can find the rich cultural heritage that granted Salamanca the UNESCO World Heritage designation.

Salamanca

A visitor arriving to Salamanca for business, to attend a fair or simply in an incentive trip granted by his company, will find cutting edge infrastructure technologies at his disposal, as the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Castilla y León (Exhibit Hall), with capacity for over 1.000 attendees. But there are several other options that combine business functionality with historic interest, as the Auditorio Municipal San Blas (City Auditorium), built over a XIII Century chapel.

We want to offer all Vincci clients a convenient option for their business trips, close to relevant business areas, but without having to sacrifice enjoying the city’s charm. Thus Vincci Ciudad de Salamanca 4* was born; a modern hotel with fully equipped meeting rooms, only a few paces away of the Exhibit Hall, and within walking distance of the Cathedral.

Because not everything is about business. Even after the most demanding workday, there will be time to visit Salamanca’s monuments, walk through the University Campus (the oldest in Spain) or the Plaza Mayor, a baroque XVIII Century square that represents the heart of Salamanca’s social life, made famous by writer Miguel de Unamuno’s celebrated gatherings.

“Casa de las Conchas”, the Cathedral, el Convento de San Esteban (St. Esteban Abbey) are other landmarks that cannot be missed if you visit Salamanca, enjoying its gastronomy as you do so –including the famous tapas, with a delicious selection of pork products.

Nightlife is also an attractive prospect for the visitor. There is a wide offering of theme pubs and clubs that would keep us awake all night. We can pop up at El Submarino, where we can feel we are clubbing inside a submarine, or at Camelot, an abbey reinvented as a club, while keeping its medieval atmosphere.

Salamanca

And for those who enjoy a more relaxed prospect than clubbing all night, Salamanca still has a lot to offer, as golf courses and trekking routes through Arribes del Duero National Park, the Béjar and Francia mountain ranges or the Candelario natural reserve.
