Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5*

It is built on a spot corresponding to two older buildings, one of which was one of the last inns existing in Malaga, while the other was a residential building whose façade dating from the start of the 20th century has been respected. This has been totally rebuilt, respecting the patio that gave it its name and an old hallway that corresponded to the entrance from Camas street.

Remains of the old Arab wall of Malaga have been found under both buildings, along with remains of the old river gate. This is the best-preserved stretch of the Arab wall, the only one that can be viewed from both sides, along which it is possible to stroll using the old circumference road of the city. Along with the wall ruins, remains of an old tannery with several utensils have also been found, which are on exhibit in the hotel. The old Roman wall of the city has also been found crossing the Arab wall, and beside it the old breakwater of the Roman port, giving an idea of the location of the coast during that time. This stretch of wall may be visited from the hotel.
