TOURIST ROUTE
Catedral de Santa María de Huesca
At the top of a hill, in the historic centre, lies the Cathedral built in the XIII century thanks to the help of the king Jaime I. This Gothic style monument has a header with five apses and is separated into three sections with lateral chapels. The altarpiece of the principal altar, made by Damian Formént, is worth highlighting. It also has an important document treasury and goldsmith.

Real Basilíca de San Lorenzo
Old Gothic construction, of which part of the tower, the atrium and principal altarpiece, was remodeled in the XVII century to broaden its capacity given the increasing amount of religious visitors. After many centuries, in the year 2000, the last improvements were finished; these have returned its splendor to this building which keeps the silver sculpture of Saint Laurence, emblem of this city every 10th of August.

Casino de Huesca
One of the most relevant buildings of this city because, apart from its architectural interest as a sample of the modern style of the city, it stands as the first plaza outside the city wall and allows connection with the train station.
BREVE OCIO
Castle of Loarre
This unique sample of Spanish Romanic construction is situated in Loarre, near the capital of Huesca. Its construction started during the rein of Sancho “el Mayor” of Navarra, and it is a splendid architectural complex, in which the apse is the highlight. Don´t forget to look out the watch point, after a huge semicircular arch, from which you can clearly see the lands of Sotonera and Hoya de Huesca.
El Salto del Roldan
The legend says that he was riding his horse and when escaping he reached a 150 metre cliff between the coteries of Amán and of San Miguel. Roldán risked his live by jumping down the cliff to escape his enemies. Since then this site of the North of Aragón is known as Salto de Roldán (Roldan´s jump). At little more than half an hour by car from the capital, this is one of the symbols of Huesca. Its privileged situation, with surprising views from every angle, make of this site an indispensable natural getaway.
PANTICOSA
This town is located at 1.184 metres of altitude and is overall a touristic place. At the shore of the Caldarés river, that receives the Bolática river also. Its center conserves some houses dated from the last century, with narrow, steep streets and evocative corners. You can observe the Roman Bridge of the XVI century that crosses the Caldarés River, and near you can find some of the best skiing resorts in the Pyrenees Mountains. The Panticosa and Formigal skiing resorts make enjoying all types of winter sports possible; from alpine skiing to snowboarding, heliskiing, ski biking, skijoring, etc.
Eight km away is the Panticosa Spa, place already known by the Romans and that given its springs has become a important tourist site.
