Huelva - More details

In the last century the city like many other seafront cities was dominated by industry, in the 21st century however, the city has opened itself up to tourism by proclaiming itself the “Door to the Atlantic”. Huelva, besides having some of the most idyllic beaches in Europe also has a wealth of historic and culture to offer the traveller.

A taste of this you’ll get to discover when you visit such places as the Muelle de Tinto and the gardens, the Casa Colon, the Reina Victoria area or the Monument of Colon. Speaking of taste, the culinary offering in this region is somewhat spectacular with the Jamon Iberico de la Sierra, a typical cured Spanish ham but of a quality here that is hard to beat, there is also the Tuna Almabrada or the Gamba blanca or “white prawn” some people argue that they are the best in the world.
