Today is Three Kings Day and we want to show you in a few steps how to cook Roscón de Reyes, a delicious and traditional Spanish pastry of these days. Our confectioner from Vincci Costa Golf 4* Hotel in Cadiz send us the recipe.
Vinccy Style Roscón de Reyes
– 1 Kg flour.
– 300 g butter.
– 150 g sugar.
– 20 g salt.
– 4 eggs.
– 20 g compressed or baker’s yeast.
– 1 teaspoon of orange-flower water.
– Lemon and orange zest.
– 1/2 liter water.
Step by step ellaboration:
Step 1: Mix all the ingredients, add water and knead to make a fine and elastic dough.
Step 2: Leave to stand for two hours.
Step 3: Work the mixture again and prepare 250 grams doughnuts.
Step 4: Leave to stand until dough doubles in size.
Step 5: Paint with beaten egg and decorate with candied fruit.
Step 6: Cook in oven at 190 C over 10 minutes until browns.
