Experience the Sevilla Fair with Vincci La Rábida!

Exhibitions, live music, talks about the bullfighting world… and the fair’s traditional duo: manzanilla sherry and pescaíto fried fish. Just some of what you’ll find on offer at Vincci La Rábida for the Seville Fair. Over the coming days all the art and tradition of the fiesta can be experienced at Vincci La Rábida, a hotel with a rich bullfighting heritage, which is offering a multitude of activities, along with its now habitual caseta stall in the hotel’s indoor patio.

Seville transformed and ready to celebrate to the full the April Fair (30 April – 6 May), with the starting gun being fired when the lights of the Alumbrado del Real de los Remedios are turned on. Just like every year, Vincci La Rábida 4* will be an integral part of the celebrations, hosting a multitude of activities to ensure guests and visitors alike make the most of the Feria experience. As is now traditional, the hotel’s indoor patio will host, from 21 April, a caseta stall, where you can savour various dishes, such as pescaito frito (fried fish) and the famous serranito sandwich with pork loin, peppers, ham and tomato, all washed down with rebujito de feria (lemonade with manzanilla sherry), or the sherry on its own.

Exhibitions at Vincci La Rábida during the Seville Fair

During the day you can visit a number of exhibition being hosted at the hotel. The permanent exhibition displays the works of Jerez artist Cristóbal Donaire Barea, better known as “Balcris”, whose portraits of matadors can be found in collections the world over and, now, in Seville at the Vincci La Rábida. From 23 April to 7 May, you can see the world of bullfighting depicted in the paintings of Andrés Nicolau, and during the same period, in the Castellar room, you can see works by the painter from Puerto de Santa María, Adrián Ferreras. There will be a selection of his oils, watercolours and sketches, inspired among other things by landscapes and traditional salt houses

Literature and music

The hotel will give a nod to the world of literature, with the launch during the Fair of the book “Morante 20 Abriles” by Olga Holguín. And for music, Patricia del Río, finalist in Canal Sur Television’s music talent programme “Se llama Copa”, will be playing live on 21 and 27 April.

The future of bullfighting

Of course, the bullfighting world will also be present, with “Another Way”, the third edition of Vincci La Rábida’s Tertulias Taurinas (Bull-fighting conversations), which will discuss a range of topics focused on the future of bullfighting over the coming years. These will be held on 29 April and 1 May in the hotel, starting at 12 noon, with free entry subject to available seating. And, on 27 April, at 12 noon, there will be a presentation to the press of the poster for the Bullfighting Fair, famous in both France and Spain, to be held in the French town of Vic-Fezensac from 3 to 5 June.

Relaxation and good food during the Seville Fair

For a moment of relaxation and to relish the delightful temperatures the city enjoys, the best place is the outdoor terrace at Vincci La Rábida, where you can savour carefully prepared culinary delights while you enjoy unbeatable views of the cathedral. The restaurant “El Mirador de Sevilla” has a varied menu of traditional Seville cuisine, offering sophisticated touches thanks to its collection of seductive dishes, which tempt you to enjoy Seville and its April Fair with your taste buds. All created with local produce, among the dishes on offer are Pil-Pil scallop croquettes with Kimchee mayonnaise and Aove Caviar, fish such as traditionally Almadraba-caught bluefin tuna, Yaki Udon with squid noodles and green piquillo peppers; or meat dishes, such as medallion of Iberian acorn-fed pig with king oyster mushroom couscous, raisins, pine nuts and spring garlic. A wonderful range of options for lunch or dinner under the Seville sky.

And all in the welcoming, distinguished atmosphere of our hotel in Seville, a matadors’ favourite, designed around an 18th century mansion with classic Seville décor providing elegance, warmth and comfort. The hotel’s atmosphere, location and gastronomy are perfect to truly enjoy the Seville Fair.
