School’s out for summer, and now it’s time for fun!
Travelling with children is always an experience, and for them the memories of their summer holidays will be something they treasure forever. So make sure their days off school are full of entertainment by paying a visit to these stupendous children’s parks in Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona and Almeria, where they’ll be bowled over by all there is on offer, at the same time as they have the chance to learn new things and spend a great time with their family.
Children’s park in Madrid: Micrópolix.
Can you imagine an entire city built just for children? Well you don’t need to imagine anymore… get down to Micrópolix [link in Spanish]. A 12,000 square metre city, with a town hall, supermarkets, police station, hospital and even television studios. It’s the place to play at real life, where the children are the citizens and the parents are tourists.

The mini-city is so real that it even has its own currency: the eurix. And the little ‘residents’ can spend a day as a member of the police, a journalist, a doctor, the captain of a ship, a banker, architect, fireman… They can even record their own television programme and get their driving license!
Mum and Dad can accompany their child on the adventure, or if they’d rather, they can take a breather in the rest area.
And if you’re visiting Madrid, why not stay in one of the five hotels the Vincci chain offers in the capital. All located right in the centre, they’re perfect for you to enjoy the wide range of leisure and cultural activities on offer. They’re all charming hotels, with modern decor, and welcoming rooms.
At the Vincci Capitol 4* you can sleep behind the famous Schweppes advert above the Gran Vía; at Vincci Vía 66 4* you’ll be surrounded by artefacts from the theatre; and in the Vincci Soma 4* you’ll be in a hotel located right in the heart of the exclusive Salamanca district. If you’re planning on spending time in the Art Triangle, the area enclosed by Madrid’s three world-famous museums, then choose the Vincci Soho 4*, but if you’d rather be just a couple of minutes from the Puerta del Sol and the Parliament Building, then go for the Vincci Centrum 4*.

Gulliver Park in Valencia
Located in the old riverbed of the Turia, you’ll find a most curious park, based on Jonathan Swift’s famous novel, ‘Gulliver’s Travels’. The gigantic figure lying on the ground, tied down by ropes, is in fact made up of lots of slides, climbing frames and other fun things for your little Lilliputians.

Our hotels in Valencia, the Vincci Lys 4* and Vincci Palace 4*, are less than 10 minutes by car or taxi, and about 20 minutes walking, from Gulliver park. Both are in great, city-centre locations, right by shops, restaurants and with lots of leisure activities close by.
Both are elegantly decorated, with the welcoming atmosphere that is the very essence of the city present in their spacious rooms and bars. Relax and have a drink in the Mikalet bar at the Vincci Lys 4* or in the Lounge bar at the Vincci Palace 4* Valencia, with no need to leave the hotel. We know you’ll be tired after zipping down so many slides!

Children’s park in Barcelona: Catalonia in miniature.
Do you want your kids to discover all of Catalonia’s most famous landmarks, shrunk down to their own size? Then visit Catalonia in miniature, the only place you can take a tour through 130 scale models, from the Sagrada Familia to the Casa Batlló, all in kid’s sizes.

You can also enjoy the ‘Bosc Animat’, the Animated Forest, a place where you can lose yourself amidst the trees, as well as climb them, or throw yourself down a zip-line. It’s the perfect place to spend a day with your family, because it also has a picnic area, amphitheatre, train and a play park.
At the park you can discover Barcelona in miniature, but if you want to see it in real life there’s no better place to stay than in one of our three hotels in the centre of the city. In the Vincci Gala 4* your children can find out all about the artist Dalí and his wife Gala; in the Vincci Bit 4* they’ll discover that inspiring design can be great fun; and at the Vincci Marítimo 4* you’ll be just yards from the ‘Mar Bella’ beach.

Theme park in Almeria: Mini Hollywood
If this summer you’re heading to Almeria with your family, we’d recommend you discover the famous Mini Hollywood [link in Spanish] theme park, where you can spend a day as a cowboy or cowgirl in the Wild West. Can-can dancing, saloon brawls and gunfights straight out of a classic Western are all waiting for you just outside the city of Almeria.

It’s a unique setting, made possible by the desert landscape. And the Andalusian city is in a unique location, right where the desert meets the sea.
The best option if you’re travelling with children to Almeria is to stay in the Vincci Selección Envía Almería Wellness & Golf 5*, a hotel where your children will have a great time in our playroom or getting involved in the golfing world at our Golf School ‘La Envía’, under the watchful eye of our professional teachers.
