We’re opening our fourth hotel in Barcelona, the Vincci Mae 4*, at Avenida Diagonal 596. Our newest location has been designed by the esteemed interior designer Jaime Beriestain, taking inspiration from the New York actress Mae West and bringing luxury, sophistication and a touch of rebelliousness to our latest hotel in the Catalan capital.
After a number of weeks of suspense and clues and hints across social media, it’s time for the big reveal. We’re increasing our presence in Barcelona, with our fourth hotel in the city: Vincci Mae 4*, located at number 596, Avenida Diagonal, next to Plaza Francesc Macià, one of the city’s main commercial zones.
Located in a building dating from 1945, inside the hotel has a striking design by the esteemed designer Jaime Beriestain. Sophistication is the watchword, with a modern, urban décor that’s full of character and which aims to surprise on every visit, without sacrificing a jot of comfort for you,
the guest.
Colour? A vivid, sizzling, vintage red
The reception will greet you with an immense screen, created from hand-painted mirrors with a variety of gold, green and ochre shades. These dusky tones, along with wooden details, are one of the themes of this nine-storey hotel, together with the use of a memorable vivid, sizzling, vintage red.
The geometrical lines of the walls and floors catch the eye, respecting as they do a simple, minimalist style; just as the striking colourist works on the walls, by artist Antonio García-Yanes, also do. In the rooms and corridors of the hotel we also find a nod to the art world, from the hand of local artist Maxó Renella.
This elegant tendency continues throughout each of the 85 rooms that make up the hotel, where the darker colours give way to the brilliance of a white, which, interspersed with maroon tones and a painted wallpaper created exclusively by Beriestain for Vincci Mae, produces an atmosphere of rest and relaxation.
A hotel inspired by Mae West
Vincci Mae 4* takes its name from the New York actress and scriptwriter Mae West. A woman ahead of her time, sexy, a master of the double-entendre and, for some, too sassy, she stood out for her sophistication and the touch of rebelliousness she brought to the big screen, as well as for her lifestyle. Her well-honed irony, intelligence and provocative manner serve as an inspiration for this hotel that aims to break with established norms and offer a different way to experience Barcelona. All the while recalling the style of 1930s New York.
This new hotel plans to offer various activities connected to the world of the arts and culture, following the spirit of one of Mae West’s famous phrases: “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough”.

The hotel has all the commodities that characterise a Vincci: spacious, outward-facing bedrooms, three of them superior, and two with their own terrace, free Wi-Fi throughout, air conditioning and individual heating, among other amenities.
On the ninth floor is the bar and restaurant “West”, with direct access to the rooftop terrace with unbeatable views over Barcelona. In the restaurant you can enjoy a menu showcasing local products, at times influenced by European and Asian cuisine.
To accompany the dishes, “West” has a cocktail menu, including the internationally famous recipe dedicated to the New York actress. The terrace has a plunge pool, where you can refresh yourself looking out over the city’s skyline, outdoor seating with tables, where you can enjoy tapas and cocktails and a hammock zone for you to sunbathe or look up at the stars, while drinking in the incredible views over the roofs of Barcelona.
